In high-end residential projects, expectations are shaped by more than what is seen; they’re informed by experience, reference and anticipation. Today’s clients arrive influenced by travel, media, art, literature and prior projects, with a clear sense of what they want – and the hope that the process will feel as considered as the finished space.

Set the Framework Early

Meeting those expectations requires more than product knowledge. It requires structure and steady communication from the first conversation through installation. For clients, the experience reflects the rhythm of their lives, developing over time rather than in a single event. Defining scope, budget and decision-making roles creates a shared framework, particularly on projects involving homeowners, designers and builders. With that foundation in place, teams can move forward with clarity and purpose, allowing the project to unfold with greater clarity.

Make the Showroom a Decision Space

Most clients come prepared with inspiration and opinions. Our role is to listen, then translate that vision into selections that support the whole project. That often means bringing designers, builders and homeowners together in the showroom so decisions are made collaboratively, not in isolation. At this level, the appointment becomes a milestone: Ideas move out of inspiration folders and into a space designed for careful consideration.

Edit With Discernment, not Abundance

Clients value guidance that narrows options and explains tradeoffs, not an excess of choice. Thoughtful editing and context help them see how individual finishes, fixtures and hardware work together throughout the home. That level of attention transforms the showroom appointment into an experience – one defined by care, focus and the feeling of being genuinely looked after.

Slow Down for Confidence

Restraint matters. Clients don’t need more options, they need certainty and trust in the decisions they’re making. Sometimes that means slowing the appointment down – letting clients handle a faucet, see finishes side by side or even take a sample home to view it in the light where it will live, rather than making decisions from a screen or catalog.

Communicate What’s Next (and What’s Changed)

Transparency remains essential throughout the process. Discussing lead times, availability and installation considerations early, then revisit them as projects evolves. A clear sense of what comes next helps clients feel grounded and informed rather than reactive. Clear communication builds credibility. Clients appreciate honesty, even when the information isn’t ideal. Being upfront about timing or availability keeps designers, trade professionals and homeowners focused on solutions instead of surprises.

Maintain Continuity Through the Build

As work progresses, clients look for steadiness as much as speed. They want to feel the project is being guided with intention – that prior decisions are remembered, conversations carried forward and potential challenges are addressed before they become disruptions. Continuity builds confidence in both the process and the team behind it.

Close With Care

The final stages of a project carry equal weight. A thoughtful close – coordination with trade partners, clear documentation and continued availability after installation – signals that the relationship extends beyond the final walkthrough. Follow-through often shapes the lasting impression, and it can be enriched through thoughtfully hosted events, designer conversations or brand partnerships that deepen context and access – reinforcing the showroom as a place of ongoing engagement.

The goal is support from start to finish. When that happens, clients don’t just remember the space, they remember the experience: guided, not rushed. Ultimately, managing expectations at this level is about creating ease – balancing ambition with what allows clients to live comfortably within their home. Done well, the result is a space that feels composed and lived-in, as well as a process that feels equally assured.

To mark the opening of its Los Angeles showroom, deVOL Kitchens creative director Helen Parker chatted exclusively with KBB about the realization of the project.

What motivated you to open this showroom?

“We already sold lots of kitchens in LA and many of these customers visited us in NYC, it’s a long trip for them and so we decided to take a look at the West Coast of America and quickly settled on LA. LA is a big place, it’s full of our types of customers who felt they sort of knew us from ‘For The Love of Kitchens’, our TV show. So really it was a natural next step for deVOL in the US.”

What was the original space like?

“Measuring 2,600 square metres over one floor, the space was previously used as an antiques showroom. Simple, functional but a little tired and in need of some love. The building was probably built in the seventies, very simple construction with no really special features, but wonderful light and a courtyard that was the clincher for us.”

In building out the showroom, what challenges did you encounter, and how were they resolved? These can include structural issues, utility connections, etc. What was the scope of construction?

“The full renovation took six months, it was a huge job and involved pretty much all aspects of the building. We re-used the old floorboards, which we took up and re-laid. We installed ADA bathrooms and access ramps and re-roofed the whole building. We then set about adding character to each room with our own handmade tiles, wallpapers and vintage artworks. Our furniture was then installed and we sent over a full container of antiques and vintage pieces to dress the finished showroom.”

Are there any design showrooms that you admire or find inspirational?

“We get inspiration from the everyday, a market, an old shop, a trip to Europe or a country house. When we arrived in LA we were amazed by all the new and exciting things we saw, it was all too much to take in, yet we found even just a simple fabric store that was so vast and impressive, that was truly inspirational. I’m sure we will find more every time we re-visit the new showroom.”

Please describe the space planning process for the showroom. How – and why – are the areas organized?

“We wanted the rooms to flow, almost like a home, but we also wanted to show all our ranges in authentic and liveable displays. We wanted to show all our accessories, furniture ranges, tiles, flooring and lighting. So, creating spaces where all these elements of deVOL felt and looked comfortable, believable, honest and, most importantly, beautiful. There are seven displays, all different and all offering a take on deVOL and the quality and quantity of what we design, make and sell.”

Social spaces and outdoor areas play a significant role in the showroom. Could you please explain the importance of emphasizing these?

“The courtyard was so important, we love the exotic, tucked away calmness it gives our staff and our customers. A pot of tea in the California sunshine (and shade) is what we dreamt about, surrounded by plants we’ve never seen and blue skies every day. The open space is enjoyed just as much inside the showroom as out as there are huge windows in almost every room display, this allows the mass of plants to feel almost as much a part of inside as outside.”

Did you try anything new in this project?

“We created a private bar and used another company’s wallpaper, two things we have never done before, but the finished room is stunning. We also did a powder room, which is a first for us, it allows us to enter into the bathroom world as well as kitchens.”

Describe how you walk customers through the showroom space. How is the showroom design conducive to the client experience?

“More than ever, this showroom has a wonderful way of taking our customers on a journey. The big deVOL showroom window allows a peek into our world, soft muted colours, grand furniture with magnificent proportions yet humble and traditional. Once inside you are led through grand simplicity, into a dark and moody private bar, so full of atmosphere and glamour. Then through a small passage, with fabulous old French doors leading into a powder room, filled with bohemian touches. Opposite the powder room is a carefully considered pantry area, wall to wall cupboards for food storage, fridges, freezers and top boxes. You then enter the biggest display, our Shaker room, showcasing a dining area, comfortable seating, a full kitchen and a glazed pantry. This room is the essence of deVOL: simple furniture, beautifully made. It’s achievable in small and large spaces and shows customers the beauty of simple, handmade furniture. The final room and definitely our ‘nod to LA’ is our Haberdasher’s and Sebastian Cox kitchen, light, bright, a little mid-century and a little California vibes. The impeccable cupboards feel very much at home in the sunshine and are a perfect way to finish off the tour, going from old England, through Parisian glamour, onto humble simplicity and finally a West Coast vibe (but in an English way!!!).”

I’ve experienced many showrooms – from luxury appliance galleries to experiential retail stores to leading design studios. The most effective spaces do more than display, they transform. They also magnify a product’s appeal and a project’s purpose, turning a simple visit into a compelling brand experience. That shift – from display to experience – is what draws clients in and keeps them engaged. At the end of the day, people may forget the details, however, they always remember how the space made them feel.

Experience Completes the Inventory

Inventory might get someone through the door; experience is what makes them stay. The most successful showrooms aren’t defined by how much product they pack in but by how thoughtfully they help clients move through the space and their decision-making.

A working kitchen with warm light and real sound can transform a faucet from a technical detail into a future memory. Don’t just curate products, curate feelings. Create an atmosphere where clients can picture their lives, and they’ll want to keep exploring.

The Power of People in High-Consideration Moments

For all the digital tools available today – AI, visualization platforms, digital matchmaking – the client experience is still a human-driven decision, especially when the stakes are high. Whether someone is investing in a new kitchen or selecting the right bath for a growing family, these are not transactional purchases: They’re emotional, and they carry weight. And in those moments, people look for guidance they can trust.

Associates don’t only offer product knowledge; they interpret the moment. They hear what isn’t being said and translate uncertainty into clarity. That’s something an app cannot replicate. Coach teams to go beyond simply informing and toward empathizing. Clients may come for the products, but they return – and recommend – because of the people who guided them with understanding and care.

Tech Should Guide, Not Replace

Technology enhances decision-making, but it cannot replace human judgement. In showrooms, digital platforms can be essential magnets. AI product matching and visualization tools can attract clients online and bring them into the physical space. Their real power is unlocked when paired with expertise.

Clients don’t want more options, they want clarity. A visualization tool might show a dozen possibilities; an experienced associate interprets which one best fits a family’s lifestyle or a project’s needs. That balance of digital efficiency with human insight is what builds trust.

Position tech as an enhancer. Let digital tools spark interest, and let associates provide the confidence that closes the decision.

Presence as a Promise

In attracting clients to your showroom, presence matters. Showrooms are physical signals of credibility. Every element – from layout to service touchpoints – communicates professionalism and commitment. Your showroom tells clients: We’re here, we’re invested, and we’re ready to help.

Details define the experience. Lounge areas, interactive displays and consultation spaces do more than improve the visit; they invite clients to linger and return. Treat your showroom as a destination. When presence feels intentional, clients perceive it as a place worth their time, again and again.

Build the Trust Stack

Connection is the beginning of a relationship. Clients return when each interaction strengthens their confidence in your brand. That confidence is built in layers.

I call it the Trust Stack:

  • Access to the right products and information
  • Tools that simplify, not complicate
  • Expertise that feels personal, not scripted

When these align, the experience shifts: The customer stops shopping and starts believing.

Confidence Is the Product

Clients don’t visit showrooms to be pressured; they come to be reassured. Confidence doesn’t come from specs; it comes from the experience that surrounds them.

The lesson is the same across every category: While people may not remember every detail, they will remember how your showroom made them feel. And that feeling – the confidence to move forward – is the most powerful product you can offer.

SKS has opened its third US showroom at The MART, the Chicago landmark that’s long been the epicenter of design in the Midwest, and the KBB editors got a chance to see it in person! Conceived by architect and Interior Design Hall of Fame inductee Piero Lissoni, the nearly 9,000-square-foot space marks a significant new chapter for SKS, the luxury home appliance brand from LG Electronics.

“The MART is an icon of Chicago architecture, a fitting venue for our first SKS showroom accessible to the public,” said SKS Vice President Randy Warner. “Our new experience and design center in this re-energized design mecca offers consumers a unique opportunity to interact hands-on with luxury appliances, accelerating the momentum for the SKS brand in America’s heartland. We’ve created an incredible space that showcases our commitment to precision, versatility and passion for today’s forward-thinking Technicurean home chefs – exemplified by groundbreaking features like our built-in sous vide and advanced induction cooking.”

Designing the SKS Showroom in Chicago

Known as “Maestro Elegantissimo” (Master of Extreme Detail), Piero Lissoni was commissioned by SKS for the project based on how his approach to bold innovation and purposeful design, grounded in a dedication to precision, performance and passion, aligns with the SKS philosophy.

In his remarks at the showroom opening, Lissoni described his operating design concept as a dynamic set.

“For me, the spaces where design pieces are presented are like theaters where the product takes the leading role, an actor moving over the set. When I began to think of an architecture for the SKS showroom, I imagined it as a stage where the scenery periodically shifts and the products are able to change roles. The beauty of this project lies in the fact that all the products of SKS can take center stage; every space is a story that can be illuminated. On the one hand we show the role that each product plays within its own particular setting, and on the other, we tell the story of the extremely sophisticated, wide-ranging and distinct collection of an international brand leader.”

Construction Challenges

One of the earliest challenges was determining how to best utilize the two-story footprint. The team initially explored filling in the lower level to create a single, continuous floor, but ultimately chose to preserve the existing structure to maintain the architectural integrity of the space and allow for more dynamic storytelling through separate zones.

The team also navigated the typical complexities that come with working in a historic building, from bringing in new utilities to accommodate advanced cooking technologies to reinforcing areas for heavy appliances.

Five full kitchens are presented on a grand scale with exaggerated heights and dramatic 20-foot-long islands. More than 50 appliances, including SKS’ innovative pro ranges and rangetops with built-in sous vide, advanced induction cooktops for rapid and precise heating, and refrigerators and wine storage solutions, are integrated throughout.

Beyond the culinary focus, the showroom also integrates a custom bar vignette, The Bar, and a Technicurean Living space. Additionally, a spacious laundry room is featured, complete with a custom closet and shelving system designed by Porro, alongside LG’s suite of laundry solutions.

Marketing Meets Art

In the showroom, ultra-large, micro-LED display LG MAGNITs display visually immersive and sensorial video presentations – created by media artist KAMW – that convey the brand philosophy in a sophisticated, poetic manner.

KAMW drew inspiration from the interplay between technology, time and the sensory nature of cooking. Rather than highlighting the artist himself, each piece was designed to bring forward the brand’s visual identity, interpreted through rhythm, texture and storytelling.

In the heart of the showroom, a particularly captivating experience features a 20-foot dining table that utilizes projection mapping to create dynamic light and visual effects around the food during culinary events.

KAMW’s four original works reinforce Lissoni’s vision of the showroom as a “theater” where products and experiences can shift roles. Together, they created a dialogue between architecture and media art, where technology enriches the sensory experience without overshadowing the presence of the appliances.

Storia has established itself as a trusted resource for interior designers, architects, builders, developers and end users, offering a carefully curated selection of flooring solutions that blend

sophisticated design with practical functionality. Estevez, a seasoned entrepreneur, has spent the last seven years building the brand’s credibility and catering to prestigious residential, commercial and hospitality projects.

When you step onto a Storia floor, you’re not just walking across a surface. You’re connecting with a story that began long before you and will continue long after.”

Giorgetti has debuted in Miami with a dedicated showroom that brings the brand’s distinctive vision to Florida’s most dynamic city and now one of the most vibrant centers on the international design and architecture scene.

Inside Addison House, a Miami landmark for high-end furniture and contemporary design in the heart of the Miami Design District, a new space entirely dedicated to Giorgetti has just opened. Encompassing an area of more than 200 square meters, it serves as a true reference point for the brand in the city, where the style, refinement and craftsmanship that distinguish it are evident in every detail, offering an immersive experience for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

This new opening marks a significant milestone in the brand’s international expansion strategy, reinforcing its presence in a key market like the U.S. Giorgetti already has  showrooms in New York, Boston, Houston, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C.

“The opening in Miami stems from our desire to strengthen our presence in the American market, in a dynamic and constantly evolving area where architects, interior designers and international clients are highly concentrated,” said Giovanni del Vecchio, CEO of Giorgetti Group. “The partnership with Addison House — a benchmark for high-end furnishings in Florida — allows us to engage with a highly targeted clientele, offering an environment that authentically expresses the values of quality, innovation and beauty that have defined our brand for 127 years,”

Founded on a shared vision of contemporary luxury and bespoke service, the partnership with Addison House, a well-established player in the luxury furniture world for more than 40 years, enables Giorgetti to integrate into a context of excellence that is renowned for its tailor-made approach to design and the delivery of comprehensive solutions for the residential, contract, hospitality and nautical sectors.

“As the founder of Addison House, I take immense pride in the organic growth and evolution of our company over the past four decades,” stated Max Alcalay, president and CEO at Addison House. “What began as a residential-focused business has matured into a multifaceted design destination, driven by a clear vision to offer a diverse range of styles and price points without compromising on quality or design integrity. This natural evolution led us to seek a partner whose values aligned with ours — where craftsmanship, heritage, and timeless design are foundations.

“Giorgetti was the clear choice. A globally renowned brand, Giorgetti brings a legacy of Italian excellence that perfectly complements our commitment to curated, refined living. Our partnership marks a bold and exciting new chapter for Addison House, reaffirming our dedication to offering the very best in contemporary luxury and design.”

The new Miami space unfolds as an evolving narrative of Giorgetti’s style, offering an immersive journey through different living areas and featuring a selection of the brand’s most iconic pieces and latest collections.

Upon entering, visitors are welcomed into an elegant dining area where the Mizar table interacts with the Norah chairs, beneath the sculptural light of the Swords chandelier. Just beyond, another convivial setting takes shape around the Bigwig table, surrounded by Aura chairs and illuminated by the Sliver chandelier.

The journey continues into a spacious living area before leading into the bedroom area. A second, more intimate living area features the Charlotte cabinet. Not far away, a dining nook unfolds around the round Mistral table, surrounded by Alexa chairs.

The view then opens onto the Open Air collection, an invitation to enjoy nature with style. The journey concludes in a more intimate setting, where the Tamio sofa is paired with the Clori armchair, Galet and Drop side tables, and the Water lamp. Adding a cozy, domestic touch is the Bau House dog bed.

Adding character to each space are other creations from the Giorgetti Atmosphere collection, such as the Attitude, Beyond, Chisel, Light, Nisida and Whisper rugs, as well as decorative accessories and glassware.

Each piece contributes to a narrative of beauty and elegance, embodying the Giorgetti lifestyle in its entirety.

Rimadesio has announced the opening of its company-managed flagship store in Miami, located at 2601 Biscayne Boulevard, within one of the city’s most vibrant and rapidly evolving neighborhoods. Set in a striking, contemporary structure that echoes the brand’s architectural philosophy and refined aesthetic, the new showroom spans the entire building, offering more than 3,000 square feet of immersive space.

Curated by R Studio, the internal Rimadesio division made up of architects, interior designers and visual merchandisers, the project involved a meticulous renovation and redesigned floorplan, transforming the space into a fully immersive embodiment of Rimadesio’s brand values.

The work included extensive interior reconfiguration, lighting integration and the installation of new materials in line with the company’s environmental commitment. The interior features sound-absorbing oak ceilings, a light resin floor and walls finished in cement-based plaster in the same soft hue, creating a harmonious and immersive atmosphere that reflects the brand’s commitment to material quality and design coherence.

The showroom’s layout was designed to guide customers through a fluid and cohesive experience, showcasing Rimadesio’s core systems in a natural sequence. The finishes highlight the brand’s distinctive material palette — glass, aluminum, walnut and soft matte lacquers —  while the color scheme balances warm, neutral tones with bold accents, creating an atmosphere that is both contemporary and welcoming.

Rimadesio Biscayne Boulevard Miami Showroom

Among the key products on display is a curated selection of tables and complementing designs from the Rimadesio Collection. Modulor boiserie system takes center stage, covering almost the entire showroom walls with finishes in sound-absorbing fabric, Litech, wood and raffia. The Rialto collection is showcased through coffee tables and sideboards, while standout tables include Manta and Long Island. The night area features an extensive Cover walk-in closet system, complemented by Alambra and a small home studio corner created using the Self system integrated into Modulor.

The showroom’s reception area, designed as a welcoming space for clients, was custom-designed using two Opus bookcase systems and a black Reflex glass reception desk, combining functionality and elegance to offer the highest level of hospitality.

The flagship store also hosts R-Academy, a dedicated space for training and exploration of Rimadesio’s technologies, materials and finishes, which serves as a cutting-edge resource for clients and design professionals alike.

The outdoor landscaping surrounding the showroom was carefully designed by R Studio to echo Rimadesio’s refined aesthetic. Through a thoughtful selection of greenery and spatial composition, the exterior environment reflects the same elegance, harmony and meticulous attention to detail that define the brand’s interior design philosophy.

On Nov. 5, 2025, SICIS will mark a new milestone in its international expansion with the opening of a showroom in the Dubai Design District (d3), one of the most prestigious global hubs for architecture and contemporary design. This opening consolidates a 20-year relationship with the Middle East, where the brand has long been involved in outstanding projects and collaborations with leading architects and interior designers.

Located on the ground floor of d3, the new showroom spans more than 500 square meters and fully embodies the SICIS vision — creating environments that merge art, innovation and beauty into an immersive and multisensory experience. The architecture is characterized by a harmonious rhythm of arches that open from the exterior to the interior, creating a dialogue of light, depth and transparency that invites the gaze from afar. These arches, a symbol of movement and openness, define the identity of the space and guide visitors through a fluid path where light, materials and emotion coexist.

Inside, every area tells a different story of the SICIS world. Vetrite and mosaic – the company’s iconic materials – interact with the new collections of sofas, kitchens, lighting, fabrics and wallcoverings, shaping a consistent narrative of style and personality. Each detail is designed and crafted in Italy, reflecting the brand’s dedication to artisanal mastery and its continuous pursuit of beauty through design.

SICIS Opens Dubai Showroom

For the first time in Dubai, SICIS also introduces a dedicated SICIS Jewels boutique within the showroom. A refined corner that showcases the exquisite micromosaic creations for which the brand is internationally renowned. This permanent presence strengthens the connection with the Arab audience, increasingly drawn to authentic beauty and the timeless value of Italian craftsmanship.

This new space perfectly expresses the brand’s philosophy — inside a SICIS showroom, you find all the beauty to surround yourself with. It is a place where interior design meets jewelry, where art and technology merge, and where every element becomes an invitation to live surrounded by beauty in all its forms.

With the opening of the new showroom in Dubai Design District, SICIS reaffirms its vision of creating not just products, but complete worlds – environments in which surfaces, furniture, lighting, fabrics and jewels come together in perfect harmony between creativity and innovation.

Casalgrande Padana has launched a new 3500-sq.-m. Creative Centre within its headquarters. Originally used as a production plant, a major renovation, redevelopment and repurposing effort has turned the space into a cutting-edge, multifunctional exhibition facility, where design and material meet to create new style inspirations.

This newly conceived, multi-functional space brings together innovation and research, developing the concept of creativity at a variety of levels and featuring both a showroom and an actual laboratory.

The functional organization of the space, with linear visitor routes, a floor surface divided by types of textures and numerous room settings, has been designed to offer a clear, intuitive picture of the huge variety of collections and solutions designed and produced by Casalgrande Padana, highlighting their aesthetic and technical qualities.

The entrance leads into a central corridor, lined with tall, tiled totem displays indicating the product families displayed in the areas behind them. Perpendicular to the central corridor are high walls, on which the colors of the collections are presented in their various shades, and other visitor routes alternate with room settings.

Open to Professionals

Creative Centres are open to industry professionals and have been conceived to go beyond the traditional idea of a showroom, creating a crossroads where the worlds of ceramics and architecture meet.

Combining their showroom vocation with communication aspects, technical information and an elaborate series of initiatives in the field of architecture, design and production, the aim of the Creative Centres is to illustrate the stories behind the collections developed through the years by Casalgrande Padana in the world of ceramics, where it appears challenging to create something new.

Outdoor Collections

The building also hosts an area dedicated to outdoor collections and another devoted to the engineering division, displayed in which are the most technologically advanced ceramic products widely used in modern architecture. There is also a large, comfortable area dedicated to study and design aspects.

TileBar has unveiled its newest showroom in the heart of Washington, D.C.’s 14th Street corridor. Designed by the award-winning global design and architecture firm Gensler, the showroom ushers in a bold and revitalized expression of TileBar’s mission to transform the way people experience and select tile and bath accessories.

TileBar’s new location elevates the showroom experience into a tactile, collaborative design destination with an unparalleled selection of premium surfaces, enabling commercial and residential clients to discover styles that align with their project vision.

“I founded TileBar in 2009 with a vision to modernize the way customers shop for tile — to inject creativity and intention into the historically uninspiring experience,” said Eli Mechlovitz, founder and CEO of TileBar. “This showroom is the latest evolution of that vision. Our new showroom environment is not just functional but also deeply inspiring.”

The new TileBar showroom design concept centers around three core principles — warmth, welcome and workshop — each shaping the TileBar client experience from first step to final selection. Throughout the experience, TileBar’s expert design consultants offer personalized guidance and support, ensuring homeowners and designers feel confident and creatively empowered from initial selection through installation.

Welcome

Guests are greeted with a hospitality bar and a striking wraparound wall that displays a curated range of specialty materials and introduces TileBar’s brand identity, offering a warm welcome and immediate design inspiration.

Warmth

A palette of creamy whites, natural textures and subtle lighting creates a calm and luxurious backdrop, allowing TileBar’s diverse product offering to shine. The space showcases natural materials from TileBar’s expansive collection from Turkish limestone to Italian-made porcelain tiles, used throughout the showroom design to inspire and showcase products in real-world applications.

Workshop

Dedicated zones allow visitors to mix, match and moodboard from TileBar’s thousands of on-hand product samples. Each station offers the ability to label palettes by room or project, supporting a seamless and organized creative process. Here, clients can touch and feel material combinations and experience the artistry of new collections and exclusive collaborations

TileBar’s showroom serves as a catalog of the world’s beauty through tile and stone, from Italian marble to terracotta, terrazzo and classic porcelain formats, reimagined with character and creativity. A full on-site sample library site enables clients to browse, compare and bring home complimentary materials, ensuring the design process continues beyond the showroom visit.

For design professionals and their clients, the Washington showroom offers a private conference space to host presentations, design meetings and intimate gatherings. The showroom will also serve as an event space for the local design community for industry events, speaker series and exclusive collection previews.

TileBar Gensler-Designed Showroom in Washington DC

“With TileBar’s D.C. showroom we envisioned a destination that speaks to the creator in everyone, whether design professional or homeowner,” said Kate Kirkpatrick, principal and strategy director at Gensler. “We wanted to bring a designer’s mind to every element of the experience so that it reflects TileBar’s brand of high-touch service and confidence given to clients throughout the tile selection process.

“From the hospitality-forward entry to hands-on workshop zones, we sought to spark inspiration for the endless and stunning possibilities of tile. The 14th Street TileBar showroom is a wonderful continuation of our long-term partnership with TileBar and bringing people-centered retail design to new markets.”

Known for its mix of award-winning restaurants, boutiques and design-forward retailers, the Logan Circle neighborhood was chosen as TileBar’s next home to connect with both trade professionals and inspired homeowners. The Washington showroom joins TileBar’s existing locations in New York City and Paramus, N.J., each strategically located in key design districts of their respective neighborhoods.

“Washington, D.C. is just the beginning,” said Ira Melnitsky, president of TileBar. “We’re building immersive retail environments that make design feel intuitive, aspirational and most importantly, enjoyable.”

Located at 1526 14th Street NW, TileBar’s Washington, D.C. showroom is now open to the public.
