Currey & Co. has introduced the Coronet Lanterns in gold and champagne finishes. The gold lantern is fashioned from flat bands of metal that sweep out at the top to form a shape similar to a looping crown. These bend upward to fold around the bottom of the chain that makes the Coronet easily adjustable.

The antique gold leaf finish makes this a luminous fixture, the artisanal treatment gleaming as the four lights strike the metal. The Coronet is dimmable, and the lantern is also available in a silvery champagne finish.

The Coronet Lantern belongs to a new group of lighting designs that are attractively priced and appeal to retailers and young homeowners who want the impact of a distinctive product without an unmanageable price tag. This new ensemble consists of chandeliers, pendants, lanterns, wall sconces and lamps.

Laminam introduced the Rare Collection, representing one of its most advanced expressions of material research. Inspired by the elemental forces of nature, this collection was developed through a process of listening, interpretation and transformation of natural elements, exploring their most profound essence. A vibrant coming-together of vision, technology and creation, an homage to genuine Italian design and its finest characteristics. Warm, enticing shades tell ever-changing stories.

A good example is Taj Mahal, the texture which reinterprets the timeless magnificence of marble. Designed to enhance and give a touch of class to both residential and commercial spaces, Taj Mahal draws the gaze over the sinuous light brown, beige and white veins which come together in a single, sophisticated, and balanced chromatic flow.

Rare is the collection of surfaces that are never alike and DNA is the finish that modifies the actual structure of the slab, to faithfully reproduce the power and dynamic motion of nature.

With native grace, DNA impresses a unique code on every surface, immortalizing it in all its full potential. The slabs with DNA finish feature a delicate yet decisive relief that follows the graphic design of original irregularities, translating them into a distinctive design element.

In this cutting-edge technological and stylistic context, Laminam is dedicating four shades exclusively to the U.S. market, all showcasing a decisive and characterful aesthetic that takes center stage in spaces where it is chosen.

Breccia Medicea Book Match DNA is a narrative sculpted in stone, a tale of primordial strength and proud character. Its black-and-white texture creates a vibrant contrast, a dialog between light and shadow, which lends rhythm and depth to spaces. The natural geometries run over the surface like rivers carving through the rock, transforming the space into a beating heart.

Breccia Medicea Viola Book Match DNA is a mineral theater where time has left a solemn mark. The symmetrical veining creates a unique and spectacular effect, while the deep and nocturnal shades of violet alternate with flashes of light which highlights their beauty. The ceramic surface is animated with fluid and organic movement: the veins seem to breathe and transform into cascades and eddies.

Bronzite Book Match Bush Hammered, on the other hand, is a surface which exudes character and intensity. A dominant central vein plays assuredly across the slab, defining the rhythm and personality of the space. The warm and enveloping textured brown hue provides quiet energy and modernity, adapting to the age without sacrificing strength.

Last but not least, Quarzite Book Match DNA stands out for its measured elegance and natural assuredness. The mineral pattern weaves together sophisticated nuances and patterns, creating a balance between light and depth. Each detail is calibrated to offer a solid, refined surface.

This was my first time attending Milan Design Week and Salone del Mobile.Milano. This year’s focus was kitchen & bath – sinks, vanities, plumbing products, cabinets and so much more. We spent the first two days visiting the city’s showrooms and dedicated the final day to touring the exhibition floor, which was enormous, easily six times the size of some of the other shows I’ve attended!

Above: Falper continues to push boundaries by blending textures, materials, and shapes. The vessel sink paired with a gold towel bar and uniquely shaped mirror perfectly captures their design language: bold, architectural, and intentionally unexpected. Photo: Kurrent Kitchen + Bath

Access on the weekend is open to local residents, allowing them to experience the show and reinforcing the city’s pride in hosting it year after year.

Park Avenue’s display embraced personality, featuring a teacup vessel sink and matching bathtub. Beyond the whimsy, the brand offers elegant statement pieces suitable for both powder rooms and primary bathrooms. Photo: Kurrent Kitchen + Bath

Visiting the Source: Factory Tours

We arrived a few days early and focused on factory tours so we could see firsthand how some of our pieces are manufactured, including visits to CEA and Stenal.

cea design rock sink

CEA’s new collection showcases a striking combination of brushed finishes along the sides and polished finishes on the top surface. The contrast creates movement within the faucet itself, transforming under different lighting conditions and adding depth to an otherwise minimal form. Photo: Kurrent Kitchen + Bath

At CEA, what stood out most was how sustainable and impeccably clean their factory is. Nearly everything is handmade, down to the very last screw. Dedicated teams oversee each small component of the design and production process with incredible attention to detail. While there are robots integrated into the facility, their primary role is transporting heavy materials from one area to another; the craftsmanship itself remains largely hands-on.

Stenal has a wonderful team and an impressive facility. Stenal offers fully customizable saunas with a wide range of wood panels, thicknesses, textures, finishes and lighting options. They are extremely meticulous, each sauna is fully assembled, plugged in and tested to ensure it is functioning perfectly before being shipped overseas. They also provide detailed, step-by-step installation instructions to simplify setup in the U.S.

Their most memorable feature was the snow machine – yes, real manufactured snow. It’s an incredible addition for clients who prefer an alternative to a traditional cold plunge after a sauna session.

Sink Showcase

antoniolupi bathtub

Antonio Lupi embodies quiet luxury. The green marble tub with a concealed filler highlights their philosophy: strong construction, minimal presence and seamless integration. Their ability to incorporate hidden wall storage reinforces the concept of clean, uninterrupted design. Photo: Kurrent Kitchen + Bath

Many of the attached photos are from the exhibition itself but we also visited several showrooms in the city, including CEA, Gessi, Raspel, Falper, Rexa, Idea Group, Laufen, THG Paris, Franke, Fantini, Dornbracht and even a pop-up showroom from Samuel Heath. It involved a lot of walking and refueling with espresso!

dornbracht pedestal sink

Dornbracht stands apart by not chasing trends. They don’t release new collections annually because their designs endure. Their floral pedestal and matching wall-mounted faucet exemplify why the brand maintains its reputation for innovation, quality and lasting relevance. Photo: Kurrent Kitchen + Bath

Our last day in Milan was spent entirely at the show, from 10:00 a.m. until closing at 6:00 p.m. To put the scale into perspective, we barely made it through a quarter of it. This year there were 22 pavilions, up from 17 last year. We were fortunate to visit booths from Olivari, Zen, Kreoo, Park Avenue, Antonio Lupi (which had the longest line), Graff, Serdaneli, AXOR, Bathco, Inbani, SICIS, Alice Ceramica, Baden Haus and Cielo Ceramica.

sicis bathroom sink salone

Sicis delivered one of the most impactful displays at the show. Their level of customization, from glass and leather finishes to a fully integrated makeup counter with bifolding illuminated glass panels, demonstrates what’s possible when craftsmanship meets creativity. Photo: Kurrent Kitchen + Bath

We wrapped up the trip with some much-needed pizza, pasta, and, of course, plenty of fresh bread.

Midi, the new porcelain stoneware collection from ABK Group brand Flaviker inspired by the rustic-chic style of villas in the south of France, captures the bright, relaxed atmospheres of the Mediterranean. The collection stands out for its refined, authentic material references and for its comprehensive design, conceived to interact harmoniously with contemporary interiors.

The collection comes in six warm, natural tones inspired by linen, sand and earth, each available in two versions: Nature, a more homogeneous graphic selection enhanced by subtle details and reproduced on a slightly textured surface, and Melange, which features a more varied stone effect along with a micro-bush-hammered finish. Together these options create twelve combinations of tones and textures, each available in three modular sizes for maximum versatility.

In the three colors ecru, beige and poudre, the collection also includes 120-by-280-cm slabs in the Pointé and Cannellé versions, inspired by handcrafted stone. The Pointé surface reproduces a subtle hammered effect that creates a discreet decorative look, while Cannellé features a ribbed motif that provides a sophisticated modern touch.

The Flaviker collection also includes non-slip finishes for outdoor and wellness areas, available in both the standard thickness and a 2-cm drive-over version.

Grande Lume was born from the idea of bringing Marazzi’s Crogiolo Lume to an unprecedented scale while preserving its most authentic essence. At its origin lies ceramics in its purest condition: a fluid, transforming material that recalls the natural processes of the earth, where color emerges through density, stratification and light, like a mineral pour that slowly cools and settles into form.

The glossy surfaces of Grande Lume capture and reflect light with unexpected depth. This is not a superficial effect, but an inner vibration of the material: veils, concentrations, more intense transitions and more transparent areas generate rich and dynamic chromatic fields, always balanced.

The palette develops through deep, saturated tones – ossidiana, malachite, petrolio, cobalto, Magma and pomice – evoking minerals, molten earth and liquid reflections. Each color expresses a precise character, while maintaining strong material and visual coherence.

The large format amplifies this experience, bringing continuity to architectural volumes, scenographic walls and furnishing surfaces; in indoor residential spaces, the material can naturally extend to the floor, creating homogeneous and luminous environments. The slabs, which can also be used as horizontal surfaces and kitchen or table tops, transform color into a design element and light into an integral part of the space.

With Grande Lume, Marazzi ceramics once again tells the story of its origin: a material born from the earth, capable of transforming into luminous, intense and essential surfaces, where primordial strength becomes contemporary elegance.

Introduced at Coverings 2026, Pastorelli’s latest collections include the Levante project, powered by its new 3D studio technology. Levante is available in a versatile range of sizes, including large 120-by-260-cm slabs, as well as 120-by-120-cm, 60-by-120-cm and 60-by-60-cm formats, all with a uniform thickness of 8.5 mm. In addition to Levante, Pastorelli has introduced two new “brick” collections that blend traditional charm with modern aesthetics.

Unique Kitchens & Baths, a U.S.-based premium cabinetry brand known for blending designer-driven style with high-quality craftsmanship, announces the debut of four new cabinetry collections. The launches mark a significant expansion of the company’s growing designer collaboration program.

Each collection features six distinctive door profiles complemented by a curated palette of eight paint colors and four wood finishes, offering designers and homeowners a versatile yet cohesive range of options. Consistent with all Unique Kitchens & Baths products, the cabinetry is designed and built in America and crafted from premium all-wood materials. Signature features include smooth, easy-to-clean finishes, dovetailed drawer boxes and soft-close glides, underscoring the brand’s commitment to quality and durability.

Designer collaborations are an essential part of Unique Kitchens & Baths’ ongoing evolution. The company believes these collections give interior designers something truly theirs, offering pieces that reflect their unique aesthetic while maintaining the functionality and craftsmanship the brand is known for.

“Typically, once a project is complete, designers have to say goodbye to that space. With a product line, they have something tangible to continue supporting and sharing over time,” says Tanya Smith-Shiflett, founder of Unique Kitchens & Baths. “These collections also allow designers to connect with a broader audience, including clients who may not hire a full-service designer but want to bring an element of that designer’s aesthetic into their home. Collaborations are an investment in both the designer and their brand. Kathy, Lindsay, and Stephanie are on incredible paths, making them a natural fit, and we were thrilled to continue our partnership with Jess for her second collection.”

At Unique Kitchens & Baths, the mission has always been to create timeless kitchens designed to be lived in and loved for years to come. What began as a shared passion for thoughtful design and craftsmanship has grown into a nationally recognized kitchen and bath design studio and cabinetry manufacturer. Every cabinet is handcrafted in the USA with meticulous attention to detail. With a timeline of approximately 12 weeks from design approval to delivery, and complimentary blanket-wrapped shipping nationwide, the company makes fully custom cabinetry accessible to clients across the country.

Kathy Kuo’s collection, Heirloom Cabinetry for the Gracious Home, is inspired by antique European craftsmanship, with traditional details thoughtfully reframed for modern living. Drawing from the refined silhouettes of historic doors and the layered elegance of storied interiors, the collection offers a fresh perspective on classic cabinetry. Each facade features subtle chamfers, graceful curves, and architectural beading, all while honoring the clean lines and quiet restraint that define timeless design.

The Heritage Collection by Lindsay Laine Home The Heritage Collection by Lindsay Laine Home is rooted in timeless craftsmanship and a belief that the most enduring design begins with how a space is lived in. Each profile was developed through our work in real homes, where form and function are considered together, creating pieces that are as useful as they are beautiful.

The Bespoke Legacy Collection is a thoughtfully refined cabinet collection by Stephanie Wiott, rooted in her signature balance of beauty and livability. This collection brings together softly nuanced color, classic door profiles, and enduring materials designed for real life. Inspired by the warmth of Midwestern homes, the romance of timeworn European tones, and the clarity of clean, functional design, each element was created to feel intentional, welcoming, and quietly luxurious.

In her second collection with the brand, Jess Weeth introduces a freestanding bathroom vanity line, expanding upon her existing collection, The Classic Coast. Jess’s freestanding vanity collection honors the details and craftsmanship of a bygone era. It builds on her first collection of door styles with considered, furniture-inspired detailing that brings charm and character. A chamfered edge, a perfectly scaled v-groove, the turn of a leg—these are the refinements that come to life in each piece. Every item has its own soul and can be personalized through an array of colors and finishes perfectly suited to the home.
